Lohagad Murder Case: Ketan Agarwal Tattooed Fiancée Siya’s Name as Birthday Surprise, Father Reveals

Pune, September 29, 2026: A new detail has emerged in the ongoing Lohagad Fort murder case, with the father of Ketan Agarwal revealing that his son had tattooed his fiancée Siya Goyal’s name on his neck as a birthday surprise shortly before his death.

According to Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, the family was preparing for Siya’s birthday and the couple’s upcoming wedding. Ketan had reportedly planned to celebrate her birthday in Mahabaleshwar on June 19 and had arranged the tattoo as a special gift for her.

Family Was Preparing for the Wedding

Vishal Agarwal said the family had welcomed Siya as a prospective member of the family and had been making preparations for the couple’s marriage.

He told the media that the family had purchased 28 dresses selected by Siya and 15 sets of gold jewellery during their engagement preparations. According to him, there was no indication to the family that the relationship was facing serious problems at the time.

The tattoo was reportedly intended as a birthday surprise for Siya. Reports have also emerged of a video showing Ketan getting the tattoo done.

What Happened at Lohagad Fort?

Ketan Agarwal died after allegedly being pushed from a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18, 2026.

According to the chargesheet filed by Pune Rural Police, investigators allege that Ketan was taken to Lohagad as part of a planned conspiracy. Police have alleged that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary used a fake Instagram account named “Mahi” to communicate with Ketan and persuade him to visit the fort.

The police investigation has resulted in a 5,053-page chargesheet against Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary and Ritesh Hange. Investigators have alleged that the death was initially intended to appear as an accidental fall.

Police Investigation and Chargesheet

The chargesheet reportedly contains digital evidence, phone records, chats and witness statements relating to the alleged conspiracy. Police have also alleged that some communications were deleted following the incident and that cyber-forensic analysis was conducted on the seized devices.

The allegations in the chargesheet remain subject to judicial proceedings, and the accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

A Birthday Surprise Before the Tragedy

The revelation about Ketan’s tattoo has drawn attention because it came just days before his death. According to his father, Ketan was preparing a birthday celebration for his fiancée and had chosen to permanently ink her name as part of the surprise.

The family was also making preparations for their wedding, making the events surrounding Ketan’s death particularly significant to the ongoing investigation.

The Lohagad Fort case remains under judicial process, with the allegations against the accused yet to be established by the court.
