Haryana grants age relaxation to ex-Agniveers

The Haryana government has declared that ex-Agniveers (those who participated in the short-term military service scheme) residing in the state will be given age-relaxation benefits in direct recruitment. The state has been making these changes as a part of its larger effort towards the integration of ex-servicemen and also to provide solutions to the employment problems faced by the military. The initiative is likely to double the career options available to these young veterans as well as to harmonize the service experience in the military and the public sector job opportunities.
